AnonPaste Tools v2
AnonPaste Tools has grown from a small set of compressors and file helpers into a library of free browser utilities. V2 brings together 29 tools added during 2026, covering everyday file jobs, developer data, document work, encryption, and experimental on-device AI.

Private, browser-first processing
The toolkit is built around quick tasks that should not require an account or an upload. Supported files, text, and documents are processed in your browser, and the result is downloaded back to your device.
Some tools need to download a processing engine or AI model before they can run. Browser capabilities, available memory, and device performance can affect larger media jobs, but your selected content is not uploaded to AnonPaste for processing.
Media conversion and editing
V2 adds:
- Image Converter for PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP, GIF, and TIFF images, with quality and resizing controls.
- Dedicated PNG to WebP, JPG to WebP, JPG to PNG, PNG to JPG, WebP to PNG, and WebP to JPG shortcuts.
- Video Converter for MP4 and WebM conversion, MP3 audio extraction, and short GIF creation.
- Image Editor with cropping, rotation, flipping, resizing, filters, drawing, text, shapes, image layers, and export controls.
- Video Editor with trimming, cropping, rotation, resizing, visual annotations, replacement audio, and MP4 or WebM export.
The existing image and video compressors have also received more control over output size, quality, resolution, format, and batch downloads. The existing watermarker now supports configurable text watermarks across images and videos.
ZIP files and metadata
- ZIP Viewer opens an archive locally so you can browse folders, filter paths, preview supported text, image, and video files, and extract individual items or the complete archive.
- File Metadata shows EXIF, GPS, and PDF information before sharing. Supported fields can be edited, GPS data can be removed separately, or a cleaned copy can be downloaded with its metadata removed.
These join the existing ZIP creator, which still bundles local files into a downloadable archive without uploading them.
JSON and code tools
Five new developer utilities are available:
- JSON Formatter beautifies, minifies, and validates JSON.
- JSON Viewer turns nested JSON into an expandable, searchable tree.
- JSON Search finds matching keys and values and shows their paths.
- JSONPath Selector runs JSONPath expressions and returns every match.
- Code Formatter applies consistent formatting to supported JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, Markdown, YAML, and other source formats.
Markdown and Base64 tools
- Markdown Preview renders a live GitHub-flavoured preview.
- Markdown Encode converts Markdown to HTML and transforms text with Base64, URL, and HTML-entity encoding.
- Base64 Text encodes UTF-8 text or decodes Base64 into readable text.
- Base64 Image Preview validates and displays raw Base64 image data or complete data URIs.
- Image to Base64 converts a local image into raw Base64 or a ready-to-use data URI.
PDF tools
V2 introduces seven local PDF utilities:
- Images to PDF combines ordered images into one document.
- Merge PDF joins multiple PDFs in a chosen order.
- Split PDF separates every page or extracts selected page ranges.
- Organize PDF reorders, rotates, or removes pages.
- Camera to PDF captures a sequence of photos and saves them as one PDF.
- Stamp PDF applies text, an image, or both to every page.
- Protect PDF adds password protection and printing or copying permissions.
Encryption tools
- Encrypt Text encrypts readable text with a passphrase and decrypts compatible ciphertext.
- Encrypt File protects one or more files or decrypts files created with the compatible AnonPaste format.
Encryption and decryption happen on your device. Keep the key somewhere safe and separate from the encrypted result: AnonPaste cannot recover a lost key.
Experimental AI tools
The new AI section contains four browser-focused utilities:
- Local AI Chat uses Chrome’s supported on-device AI on compatible desktop devices. No API key is required.
- AI Text Checker reviews sufficiently long English writing for AI-like signals with a local model. Its result is an uncertain signal, not proof of authorship.
- AI Token Counter counts OpenAI plain-text tokens locally and estimates Claude and Gemini token usage.
- Prompt Cost Estimator estimates standard API cost and context-window use for selected OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini models.
AI model support and prices change over time. The tools state when a value is exact, estimated, experimental, or dependent on a particular browser.
A quicker tool library
The v2 home page has been rebuilt to make the larger collection easier to use:
- Search the library by tool or category.
- Pin favourite tools in the current browser.
- Browse clear groups for compression, conversion, editing, security, developer work, encoding, PDFs, and AI.
- Use the interface in English, German, Spanish, or French.
- Open companion IP Check and Browser Privacy & Security Tester utilities from the Network section.
Every AnonPaste Tool remains free to use, with no account or subscription required.
