Anonymous profiles and pixel avatars

Anonymous activity now has a clearer and more personal identity across AnonPaste and AnonSilo, without requiring an account.

Automatically generated pixel avatars

Every anonymous identity now receives a generated pixel avatar. The same identity keeps the same avatar across posts, comments, Live Chat, Live rooms, direct messages, and its anonymous profile.

The avatar is generated in your browser and is connected to your Anon ID, so you do not need to upload a profile picture.

Choose a display name

You can set an optional display name from Anonymous preferences. Display names can contain up to 16 letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores.

Display names are not unique. Your full Anon ID remains visible beside your name so people can distinguish anonymous users who choose the same name.

Roll a new avatar

Anonymous preferences now include a live profile preview and a Roll avatar action. Rolling creates a new avatar preview without changing the avatar other people see. Choose Save profile when you want to apply the new avatar and display name.

Existing anonymous users keep their current generated avatar until they save a new roll.

Available across your activity

Saved profile changes appear on existing anonymous activity when it is loaded again, including:

Anonymous profile pages now show the pixel avatar, optional display name, full Anon ID, country flag when enabled, recent activity status, and a message action.

Your Anon ID remains important

Your display name and avatar help personalise how your anonymous identity appears, but they do not replace your Anon ID. Your full Anon ID remains the stable public identifier for that anonymous identity.

You can continue to export, restore, or rotate your Anon ID and manage country-flag visibility from Anonymous preferences.
